A well-functioning pelvic floor is crucial towards good bladder and bowel control as well as healthy sexual cycles. The pelvic floor also contributes to stronger lower back, hip and core muscles. There are cases where the pelvic floor could be weakened, and in other cases it could be overly stressed and tight. Your consultant will assess and discuss the right treatment for you.

Machine Therapy

We employ BTL EMSELLA which is the only procedure that targets pelvic floor muscles and activates supramaximal pelvic floor contractions – which are deeper than what any individual could do on his or her own.

This is done through HIFEM® (high frequency focused electromagnetic) Technology that penetrates into the deep muscle layers to re-educate and retrain muscles, creating muscle memory to regain the strength of and control over the pelvic floor muscles.

Phyiscal Therapy

Our proven method combines machine therapy with guided physical therapy to re-educate and increase the strength of, and control over, the pelvic floor muscles. This is an effective and viable alternative to surgery in the treatment of urinary incontinence and related conditions, and a good way to maintain a well functioning pelvic floor.

Your consultant will advise the right workout for you, using mat-based exercises, breathing techniques and weights according to each individual.

FAQs

What are the pelvic floor muscles?

The pelvic floor is made up of layers of muscle and other tissues deep within the pelvis that support the trunk. They control the flow of urine and bowel movements, and they are important for intimacy too. These layers stretch like a hammock from the tailbone at the back, to the pubic bone in front.

The pelvic floor muscles support the bladder, bowel (colon) and womb (uterus) for females and extend to the tailbone (coccyx) helping to support the lower back and hip.

What are some effects I can expect from treatment?

Our customers have seen:

  • Improved bladder and bowel control
  • 12% longer period between urination
  • 67% reduction in the use of hygienic pads for incontinence
  • 100% better awareness of the pelvic floor muscles
  • Better circulation of the lower structures
  • Increased vaginal discharge and less intimate dryness
  • Stronger lower back and hip

Are there other treatment options?

Surgical treatments can be done with incision through the vagina or abdomen. Regular pelvic floor exercises are excellent for the maintenance of the pelvic floor but it might not be effective if done without the right intensity and right amount of repetition.

Orchard Clinic focuses on non-surgical treatments that are non-invasive but highly effective, with no downtime.
