Stretch Marks
What are stretch marks?
When our skin is pulled too tightly, especially during times such as pregnancy or significant weight changes, the supporting layers of tissue beneath it experience tiny tears. These become visible streaks on our skin in red, brown, yellow or purplish hues.
Most women experience stretch marks in areas such as the belly and thighs during and after pregnancy. As a type of scarring that seldom fully fades, stretch marks are especially difficult to remove naturally and are best treated in their early stages (ie. Less than a few months old).
Rejuvenation of deep connective tissues is required to improve skin elasticity and treat the appearance of stretch marks.
Treatment for Stretch Marks
Shockwave Therapy firms, smoothens and tightens bodily appearance through positive influence of underlying tissues and cells. By delivering energetic acoustic waves beneath the skin, it effectively stimulates and strengthens the collagen network to enhance skin elasticity and renewal. This inspires faster fading of fresh stretch marks and cellulite to refine skin texture and bodily contours.

FAQ
How soon should I seek treatment?
Stretch marks could range from red/purple in colour to white/silver. Fresh stretch marks are typically red/purple and this is an excellent window of opportunity to treat it before it becomes white/silver which is a scar.
Can I prevent stretch marks?
Stretch marks are often due to the excessive stretch of the skin and genetic factors. There’s no way to prevent stretch marks completely, even if you regularly use lotions and creams.
Can it be removed completely?
It may not be able to be completely removed, but the appearance of it could lighten significantly if treated early enough.
