Body Assessment for Women

Leading centre for common body conditions from postpartum to menopause

Start with your first assessment

Your journey with Orchard Clinic starts with an initial assessment. A detailed body check will be done by female-only consultants to determine if treatment is required and suitable for you.

Our friendly consultants will inform you if treatment may or may not proceed and kindly note that we reserve the right to refuse treatment if it is deemed unsuitable.

What to expect during your assessment

Your assessment will be done by a professional female consultant to check for common body conditions that occur after pregnancy to pre/post menopause.

Diastasis Recti Assessment

Physical assessment at the linea alba to assess for abdominal muscle separation

Pelvic Floor Assessment

Internal examination to assess for pelvic floor strength & resistance

Vaginal Laxity Assessment

Visual examination for skin laxity in the vulva area or pelvic organ prolapse

Diastasis Recti Abdominis

80% of mothers suffer from a divarication of the rectus abdominis muscle, or commonly known as the Diastasis Recti Abdominis (DRA) or ‘Mummy Tummy’.

DRA is often accompanied with saggy skin and an inability to lose the mummy tummy despite weight loss.

Left untreated, DRA could lead to pelvic floor dysfunction, lower back pain and a hernia.

Pelvic Floor & Incontinence

Females are twice as likely to suffer from pelvic floor conditions and Incontinence due to factors such as pregnancy, childbirth and menopause.

Signs of pelvic floor dysfunction can include loss of bladder control, feeling a weakness of the bladder, and/or involuntary urinary leakage.

Pelvic floor dysfunction could lead to lifestyle issues, reliance on diapers and pelvic organ prolapse.

Vulva & Vaginal Laxity

As women age, relaxing of the vaginal wall can lead to Vulva & Vaginal Laxity or vaginal relaxation syndrome (VRS).

This is often aggravated by childbirth, especially multiple pregnancies and deliveries, and hormonal changes that cause vaginal atrophy.

Tightening of the vulva and vagina canal can improve the optimal structure of the vaginal canal, strengthen tissue and improve intimate health.

Frequently asked questions

IS A REFERRAL FROM A DOCTOR REQUIRED?

No, it’s not required and we do not have in-house doctors. Should you require medical attention, you may seek a doctor’s opinion first.

WHEN IS TREATMENT SUITABLE?

As every individual condition is different and requires a physical check, an assessment is required to determine suitability. Generally, should you have any metal implants or if you are currently pregnant, treatment will not be suitable.

Orchard Clinic is a new treatment concept offering a unique method that provides high-quality conservative solutions for women’s body from pre & post pregnancy to pre & post menopause.

As a specialised treatment centre for women, we assess, prevent and treat common conditions such as incontinence, pelvic floor issues, abdominal separation (diastasis recti) and vaginal laxity.
